Itelyum, an international group specialising in the sustainable management and valorisation of industrial waste, has renovated its executive offices in Milan with the aim of translating the company’s core values: sustainability, innovation and care for people’s wellbeing, into a physical environment.

The architectural project, developed by Vittorio Grassi Architects, defines a working landscape where layout, materials, light and furnishings come together to create functional, flexible and recognisable spaces. The intervention spans the fourth, fifth and sixth floors of the building, as well as a panoramic rooftop, organised through an open spatial approach that encourages collaboration while preserving areas for concentration and privacy.
Large perimeter windows ensure a constant supply of natural light, while transparent surfaces: including glass partitions, reinforce the dialogue between interior and exterior, enhancing spatial continuity and perception.
Within this framework, Citterio played a central role in shaping the environments, contributing to the overall narrative through a coherent and integrated furnishing system.
The intervention includes Basic single-glazed partition walls with aluminium profiles, available in both linear and curved configurations.
These elements define spaces while maintaining visual continuity and lightness. Vision hinged glass doors and integrated technical modules complete the system with a refined and contemporary language.
To support acoustic comfort and individual work, C-SS Phone Booths were introduced in both single and double versions. These enclosed units provide dedicated spaces for calls, focused work and informal meetings within open-plan environments.
Operational areas are furnished with Shard workstations, available in single, double and multi-desk configurations, combined with Programma 3 storage units to ensure organisation and efficiency.

Meeting rooms feature Shard tables in both round and rectangular versions, supporting different modes of interaction.
The project is further enriched by custom-made furnishings developed in collaboration with the architects, including an integrated bookcase with niche seating and a fully equipped kitchen area.
Alongside the Citterio supply, selected Vitra furnishings contribute to lounge and informal areas, while UniFor elements, such as the LessLess Totems, introduce flexibility and chromatic accents.
The result is a coherent and balanced working environment, where architecture and furniture engage in dialogue to support everyday activities and reinforce Itelyum’s corporate identity.
